It’s a big day for the ladies of NBC’s The Voice.Season Three’s Cassadee Pope, former Hey Monday singer, sits at number 1 on the overall iTunes chart for the second time in this competition. Both times with a country, might I add. Having seen Cassadee live many times before The Voice aired, I had no doubt that America would fall in love with the Florida native, just like I had. I, however, did not realize that America would fall THIS in love with her.
Also, former front-woman, Juliet Simms (Automatic Loveletter), released her first single, “Wild Child,” since coming in second place on Season Two of The Voice. I have been, and always will be, a fan of what Juliet does. This new single is very different from what she has done in the past, but it’s easy to forget she is not the same person who used to play small coffee shops. She has transformed her image, and her musical style but I will still continue to listen.
Lastly, Season Two’s last country artist standing, RaeLynn, also released her first single, “Boyfriend,” since being voted off The Voice last season. Being the only country artist to make it to the live shows on Season Two, many viewers knew she would secure herself a record deal. The single, in my personal opinion, is just eRaeLynn needed to expand her fanbase.
